Suresh Kalmadi not to contest Hockey India elections

Suresh Kalmadi will not be able to contest the contentious Hockey India elections on February 7, according to informed sources in the Capital.

With just over two weeks left for the high-profile event, it became clear that Kalmadi has failed to get a nomination from Maharashtra. As per the guidelines adopted, each affiliated unit of Hockey India has to nominate one man and one woman.
