Compensation to poll officials killed naxal attack on 1st day of election
Chhattisgarh government on Thursday announced compensation for officials killed on poll duty, during the Lok Sabha election.
The Raman Singh government announced compensation of Rs 5 lakh to the family of the official who died on duty and Rs 10 lakh to the family of each of the officials killed in Naxal violence during the poll exercise, official sources said.
Rs six lakh has been announced for those who become physically disable in Naxal violence.
